BZK Edu needs your support to meet the growing demand for environmental education in the Hudson River Valley.

The success of our award-winning programs has been recognized by many organizations, ranging from well-know educational and environmental groups to the state and federal governments. But the greatest measure of our success is in the support we receive from people like you, members of the community.

We believe the best way to preserve the natural beauty and wonder of the local environment is by educating residents of all ages about the ecology of the Hudson River Estuary and its role in our community. If you share this belief, then we urge you to become a Friend of BZK Edu. We do not offer those services anymore but here’s how thigs were:

Special Purpose Gift – If you would like to designate a gift to a specific education program, please call us to discuss.

Matching Gifts – Many companies will match their employees’ gifts to nonprofit organizations. Ask your Human Resources Department if your employer has a matching gift policy. If so, please get a Matching Gift form and initiate a match. We appreciate your extra effort. Thanks!

Planned Giving – Remember BZK Edu in your will. Your legacy will help insure the Center can continue its mission into the future. A gift by will or bequest is totally deductible for estate tax purposes. Consult your attorney when drawing up or revising your will to ensure your intentions are carried out properly. Please notify BZK Edu of your bequest intentions.

A class trip to BZK Edu is an educational adventure your students will never forget. Some programs follow the tides and are limited, so please call early to schedule your visit.

  • Catch of the Day Seining Program: 2 hours
  • Peek at Plankton, Geology Rocks!, Hudson River Chemistry and
    The Structure of a Marsh: 90 minutes
  • All other programs: 1 hour

We can accept a maximum 25 students per program. Some programs are flexible and can be adapted to your needs if requested. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the program cost is required to reserve your program date. All programs are held rain or shine. School programs will be rescheduled without penalty in the event of school closings.
